Summary

Available for Drop-in Advising on Wednesday mornings

I am an Academic Advisor in the College of Business. As a first-generation student, I completed my bachelor of science in business administration with an emphasis in Management at the University of Nevada, Reno and then went on to complete my master in business administration (MBA). During my master’s program, I became a graduate assistant with the College of Business Student Success Center, and exclusively advised first-year pre-business students. After graduation, I became an advisor for the College of Business and now enjoy working with all populations of business students from all walks of life. My favorite part of being an Academic Advisor is helping my students see a vision towards graduation and developing a unique relationship with each of my students.

I was born in Sparks, Nevada and raised in Gardnerville, Nevada. When I am not working, I love spending time with my family and dog, being a mom, and putting in hours at a local dance studio. I love the outdoors and love to travel. Some of the places I have been include Japan and Indonesia.

My advice to students is to always advocate for yourself. Make sure you are taking care of yourself first and do not stretch yourself too thin. Create boundaries and stick to them. You cannot help others until you help yourself first.
