The University of Nevada, Reno, in partnership with Extended Studies, is proud to offer nine incredible study programs. Courses focus on international business, management, entrepreneurship, leadership and humanities through a combination of online instruction, lectures, tours and more! All programs have limited space. Prices are based on Nevada residency, are per person and do not include airfare.

Singapore

Trip date: January 6-13, 2024

Learn about Asia-Pacific trade in the context of one of the most diverse and culturally rich countries in the world. Several business visits with companies with Nevada ties are planned.
Fees include class credit, shared accommodations, local transportation, select tours, course materials, breakfast and special class dinner

San Jose, Costa Rica

Trip date: March 24-31, 2024
Cost: $3,295
3 credits - BUS 400 (undergrad), BADM 729 or BADM 791 (graduate)
Learn about Central American trade and how developing countries develop vibrant business communities as well as attract foreign direct investment. Special focus is given to diplomacy and Costa Rica's tradition of not supporting a standing army. Substantial time is spent in San Jose meeting with local and foreign business interests, government agencies charged with FDI, and several different foreign embassies. The course closes with a focus on sustainability practices in eco-tourism at a resort on the Pacific coast.

South Korea

Trip date: March 23-30, 2024
Cost: $3,595
3 credits - BUS 400 (undergrad), BADM 791 or BADM 729 (graduate)
Spend seven days in Seoul and Busan, exploring Korean culture and learning about historically significant locations. In Busan, we will visit Hyundai Ulsan Plant, the world's largest automobile plant, as well as Busan Tower, Haeundae Beach and Jagalchi Market. In Seoul, we will visit Seoul Tower, Seoul National University, Namdaemun Market, as well as attend a Nanta performance and a Korean cooking class. Additionally, we will tour the Korean Demilitarized Zone on the border of South Korea and North Korea.
Fees include class credit, accommodations, local transportation, tours and at least one meal per day.

Toronto, Canada

Trip date: June 1-8, 2024
Cost: $3,295

Management course, focusing on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and challenges and opportunities of doing business in Canada.

New York, New York

Trip date: June 9-15, 2024

3 credits - MGT 491 (undergraduate) or BADM 729 (graduate)
Management science and humanities come together through exploration of museums, plays, films, galleries, readings and lectures. Design thinking concepts are discussed, challenged and deconstructed.
Fees include class credits, accommodations, course materials and five class meals

London, England

Trip dates:
- Undergraduate: June 22-July 19, 2024
- Graduate: June 22-30, 2024

- Undergraduate: $6,495 (4 weeks, 6 credits)
- Graduate: $3,295 (1 week, 3 credits)
Both groups will spend the first week visiting local businesses, understanding the new environment in a post-Brexit world. Students will examine British culture and its relationship to the business climate.
Undergraduates will participate in a 3 credit class for the remaining 3 weeks, providing a required or elective course in most degrees.
Fees include class credits, accommodations (single and ensuite), local transportation for course-related work, select tours, course materials, a special class event, meals in the dormitory and a concluding dinner.

Warsaw, Poland

Explore Poland’s rich and fascinating culture and history through lectures and guided tours with us. Students will acquire valuable entrepreneurship knowledge and practical experience, focusing also on the political economy and business climate of Central and Eastern Europe. In this program we offer exclusive visits to leading business development institutions in the mornings combined with many historical and cultural guided tours in the afternoons.
Fees include class credit, 3 hours of academic sessions, course materials, breakfasts, lunches, special dinners, select cultural visits and guided tours, shared accommodations and transportation to and from the airport

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Learn about business innovation, finance and entrepreneurship through the context of business visits in banking, manufacturing and retail business sectors. Argentine business leaders and American leaders working overseas will be the focal points of contact for students in the program.
