A degree in Information Systems not only gives graduates the ability to understand and manage current and emerging information systems, but also confers excellent technical management and communications skills. A background in Information Systems allows for a higher-level understanding of how different computer systems can talk and interface with each other - and thus facilitate and foster the spread of knowledge and ideas.
The Department of Economics at the University of Nevada, Reno is an “idea place,” and seeks to become an increasingly creative and valuable resource as it conducts teaching, research, and service activities. A study in finance prepares students for professional careers in fields such as corporate financial management, investment banking, business consulting and portfolio analysis and management.

Marketing is a dynamic, exciting and critical component of business. At its core, marketing is the creation, communication and exchange of value for stakeholders, including society at large. Marketing is the "outward-facing" business discipline that builds and manages relationships with customers, suppliers and partners.
This department is home to those programs that span the College of Business, drawing on the expertise of many specialized faculty to provide a comprehensive business education. Programs include the MBA and Executive MBA, an extensive International Business degree that offers numerous language tracks and foci, a General Business program and a Minor in Gaming Management.
