Dan Oster is a business owner, commercial real estate broker, and educator. After spending eight years managing corporate information systems, Dan entered the commercial real estate field in 2004 specializing in industrial properties. In 2005 he started a successful commercial real estate firm with a group of partners. For over a decade, he has helped organizations large and small make complex decisions related to facility purchases, leases, investments, and construction. In addition to his work in brokerage, Dan is a principal in a number of commercial development projects and startup businesses.
Dan earned both a Bachelor of Science in Management and his Master's in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno. Where he was also elected student body president while an undergraduate. He is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Business at the University of Nevada teaching an Advanced Seminar on Supply Chain Management. Every semester since 2008, his class begins with a simple analogy - his class is a 16 week road trip during which he learns as much from his students as they do from him.
Dan is the President of the Northern Nevada Roundtable of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), and is an active member of SIOR, EDAWN and NNDA.
A commitment to helping his clients meet their objectives first and foremost, priority on home and family, love of Nevada (the University and the State), and lifelong intellectual curiosity are Dan's defining qualities.
He teaches BADM 779, Seminar in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
