Public Health M.P.H. Assessment Plan
The of Public Health is committed to the exploration, understanding, and promotion of health and wellness across the lifespan through education, research, and community outreach to assist with improving the health of our university, our community, our state, our nation, and our world. The underlying assumption of this ecological perspective is that the promotion of health and wellness is based on an understanding of the dynamic interplay among diverse environmental, political, philosophical, social, psychological, and personal factors. The Master of Public Health degree is designed to provide a quality graduate-level curriculum for students interested in careers in public health primarily in and throughout the inter-mountain west.
Student Learning Outcomes
1. Students will be able to develop skills in public health research methods and public health practice.
2. Students will be able to develop critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
3. Students will be able to develop a knowledge base in theories, principles, and research in public health in applied contexts.
