Spring is a favorite time of year because the Department of Art holds a number of BFA and MFA thesis exhibitions where students display their creative work and hold talks and receptions to fulfill degree requirements.

Spring Dance Concert

April 25 at 2:00 p.m.

The Spring Dance Concert features performances by dance students in choreographic works by dance faculty and guest artists. Historically, this concert has featured one guest dance company in the second half of the program. Past guest companies include: Alonzo King Lines Ballet, Fua Dia Congo, Robert Moses' Kin Dance Company, Lula Washington Dance Theatre, Lakota Sioux Indian Dance Theatre, Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Martha Graham Dance Ensemble, Hubbard Street 2, Ballet Hispanico, Lily Cai Chinese Dance Company, Giordano Dance Chicago, casebolt and smith, and Gallim Dance.

Composers' Concert

This annual event features new acoustic and electronic music by the department of music's student composers. This concert is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
