Biography: Nicole is a first-year Ph.D. student in prehistoric archaeology. Her general academic interests are centered on Great Basin archaeology with an emphasis on Paleoindian migration during the late Pleistocene and early Holocene. She has an interest in how lithic analysis and source provenance studies can play a vital role in understanding early human occupation in western North America. She has conducted field work over the last three summers in southeastern Oregon and is a Research Assistant for the Great Basin Paleoindian Research Unit.
