Biography: Melody is a third-year Master's student who is focused on working with archaeological materials from curated collections.  Though she dabbled in cultural and linguistic studies during her undergraduate coursework, she has developed a deep appreciation for artifacts and material culture.  Her current research is based on a collection of historic artifacts excavated from the site of the O'Brien and Costello's Bar and Shooting Gallery in Virginia City, Nevada.  She is also a graduate research assistant and Collections Manager for the UNR Anthropology Research Museum.
