Biography: Jessica is a Ph. D. student in cultural anthropology. She got interested in the anthropology of religion when she started working as a research assistant transcribing sermons and interviews as an undergraduate. As a bachelor's student, Jessica focused primarily on Islamophobia and xenophobia in Alaska. Her current research is in LGBTQIA+ members in protestant churches, acceptance, and identity. Jessica's area of research is in America, primarily in the West.
