Biography: I am a first year MA student and a research assistant for the Great Basin Paleoindian Research Unit. I began my career looking at lithic sourcing and surface distributions at sites within the Plains before moving to Nevada to study Great Basin archaeology. My primary interests are in geoarchaeology and looking at paleoenvironmental reconstruction to determine how Paleoindians interacted with their environment. I primarily use lithic sourcing (XRF), sediment analysis, and GIS to look at past environments and movements of people. My research in the Great Basin has begun with a site in southeastern Oregon and analysis on the surface lithic scatters that were recovered.
