Previous Degrees: BA in Anthropology and a BA in Women's Studies from the University of Nevada, Reno (2013)
Interests: Cultural anthropology, applied anthropology, incarceration, membership, anthropology of law, and social movements.
Biography: Erica is a third-year Master's student interested in mass incarceration, labor, social organizations identity and power. Her research focuses on former offenders, employment discrimination, law, restorative justice and community mobilization. She is especially interested in how labor works as a form of membership and how this impacts former offenders dealing with employment discrimination in the community. She is currently a teaching assistant for Introduction to Cultural Anthropology and conducting field work within the Reno area.
