2,677: Compensatory Time/Overtime for Faculty

In accordance with the 2004 revised Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), most faculty positions meet the criteria for exemption from overtime regulations and provisions and therefore are not eligible for overtime pay or compensatory time. 
Certain administrative faculty positions may not meet the FLSA test for exemption from overtime. In these limited situations, the employee will be notified of their unique status and the necessary steps for prior approval before working overtime.
