Advisement is a highly beneficial component of your education at the University of Nevada, Reno and a critical part of your academic experience. The Joe Crowley Student Union provides a diversity of programs and services for the entire University community, including the two-story Nevada Wolfshop, fireplace and seating areas, computer sales, a convenience store, a number of dining options, and much more. Summer Session’s Tuesday Night Movies are also offered in collaboration with the student union. Movie titles will be available on the Joe Crowley Student Union website.
A valid Wolfcard student ID is required to borrow library materials and an activated NetID is required for campus computer access. NetID activation is available at the Help Desk, located in the Knowledge Center Atrium.
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) department provides computing, software, and communications support services to students, faculty, and staff throughout the University.
The department manages and supports software development, applications support and data warehousing, network services, and server support and management. The goal of the organization is to assist departments and colleges in automating any administrative or academic process within the University that can benefit from automation and thereby improve the efficiency and accuracy of University operations.
The faculty, staff and student employees of OIT are responsible for core OIT systems and services, including e-mail, network security, NetID authentication, and OIT communications, as well as computer hardware and software troubleshooting.

The Math Center provides a number of services available to students including Free, drop-in tutoring (no appointment necessary) for any UNR students seeking assistance with mathematical concepts. Numerous tutors are available for one-on-one support and are familiar with MyMathLab and WebAssign, the online homework software used in the majority of the math/stat courses. These tutors can assist with software related issues in addition to helping students with mathematical concepts. The Math Center has a 30-station computer lab with up-to-date mathematics and statistics software. Midterm and Final review sessions for popular classes also provided.

The Tutoring Center located in the Thompson Building, Room 101M, offers free summer, appointment one-on-one tutoring, walk-in labs in the DeLaMare Library and Knowledge Center, and small group tutoring.
