Important Dates for the Self-Supporting Budget Process
Enroll in one of our six three hour training sessions on using a brand new CAIS based budgeting form for building Self-Supporting Budgets for FY09. Training is MANDATORY this year.
- Sessions are daily Monday, March 31, 2008 through Thursday, April 3, 2008 from 9:00am to 12:00pm OR Monday March 31, 2008 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm OR Wednesday April 2, 2008 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
NOTE: Classes will be held in the E. L. Cord Room on the main floor of the library. Please be aware that the EL Cord computers require a "net id". You can activate your UNR Net ID by contacting Campus computing.

- April 4, 2008: OK to begin FY09 Self-supporting budgets - with salary data - in CAIS.
- May 2, 2008: FY09 Self-supporting budgets due to the Budget Office (MS 118 Clark Administration). Your Vice-President/Dean may require them earlier. A budget must be signed by the respective vice-president, dean, or the dean's designated fiscal officer prior to submission to the budget office.
- In August the Budget Office will process an automatic budget revision for all budgeted accounts to adjust the budgeted opening cash balance to the actual opening cash balance. The excess or shortfall will increase/reduce the amount budgeted in expense object 79 - ending account balance. If there are insufficient funds budgeted in object 79, the appropriate college budget coordinator will be contacted and requested to process a budget revision.
