e-SEARCH Coordinator Training
This workshop is required for those who wish to serve as a Search Coordinator in a search for academic or administrative faculty. Attendees at workshops must bring their UNR Net ID and password to sign on to the internet in this computerized, hands-on training.

- Understanding the steps in the professional search process including responsibilities and timelines.
- Identification of the parties involved in the search approval process.
- Elements of a search requisition.
- Hands-on exercise in creating a new requisition in e-SEARCH web-based software.
- Demonstration of requesting approval for interviews and request to offer.
- Advertising and outreach process including required minimums.
- e-SEARCH navigation pointers.
- How to use Affirmative Action data.
- Hands-on trial of the application process.
- Communication with applicants.
- When to send the Pre-employment Certification Form.
e-SEARCH Chair Training
This workshop is required for those who wish to serve as a Search Chair in a search for academic or administrative faculty. Search committee members are welcome to attend this workshop. Attendees at workshops must bring their UNR Net Id and password to sign on to the internet in this computerized, hands-on training.
Learning objectives:
- Understanding the steps in the professional search process including responsibilities and timelines.
- Showstoppers- 16 search rules.
- Demonstration of the tools and resources available.
- Familiarization with the step-by-step search instructions and e-SEARCH web based software.
- Hands-on exercise in reviewing applicant web-based files and discussion of rating sheets.
- Advertising and outreach process including required minimums.
- Tips on the composition of the search committee, logistics, examples of situations to avoid, and discussion of best practices
