You're standing on the walkway along the dam at the south end of
the lake. At the opposite end is Jot Travis Student Union. (Lincoln
Hall, now the Honors Dorm, is obscured behind JTU.) As you turn to
the right, you see Frandsen Humanities and Clark Administration
(formerly the library). Keep looking to the right, and you'll see the
blossoming trees along the walkway on this fine April day in 1997. On
the west side of the lake, we find Manzanita Hall, which has lost its
screened-in porch since the 1930s. Across the street behind it is
University Inn. The trees obscure Artemisia and Juniper Halls. The
tall, modern structure behind the trees and across Virginia Street is
Nye Hall, a dormitory.
