The inscription on the panoramic photograph in University Archives
reads, "Graduation Procession, May 14, 1913. Photograph by Craftsman
Studio, Reno, Nevada," but it looks more like a posed picture than a
procession to us. The gentleman in the center, standing in front of
the statue of John Mackay, is believed to be President Joseph E.
Stubbs. The faculty are to his left (your right, as you view the
scene), the graduates to his right. Beyond the graduates you can see
what appears to be a female vocal group and the band.
