Virtual Visit: NIT Playoff Game

NIT Playoff Game, 1997

The Nevada Wolf Pack varsity basketball team barely missed winning the Big West championship but has been invited to the National Invitational Tournament playoffs. It's March 18th, and this is the second (and for the Pack, the last) playoff game, pitting Nevada against Nebraska. The Wolf Pack defeated Fresno State in the first round.

This game is played on Nevada's home court at Lawlor Events Center. As you can see, it's early in the game, and Nebraska has jumped out ahead, 11-2. It doesn't get much better. The game ends with Nebraska moving to the next round after defeating the Wolf Pack 78-68. (This was one of our early experiments with QTVR, and there are places where it didn't "stitch together" as well as it might have, but we decided to show it to you, anyway.)
