No more events for the month of April
On April 9th, student veteran Joseph Holsworth read from his published book, entitled, The Devils of Eden, about his experiences as a paratrooper in Afghanistan. After the reading, the audience was invited to discuss specific issues and themes that arose from his reading.
On March 12th, the University Veterans Coalition, Nu Phi, and the Vietnam Veterans of America hosted a showing of a Vietnam War documentary film entitled, "Bravo! Common Men, Uncommon Valor," about the 77-day siege of Khe Sanh told by Marines who lived through it. The film's makers, Ken and Betty Rogers, were present at a reception prior to the showing as well. Learn more about the BRAVO! project here.

Following the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, student veterans at the University of Nevada, Reno joined a nationwide grass-roots effort, Remembrance Day National Roll Call, to honor American service men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan over the past decade. The event took place on Veteran's Day, 2011. Learn more about the remembrance here.
