Goals of the University Veterans Coalition
- Facilitate student veterans' transition to college:
- Link student veterans to the university community and to local veterans' services and organizations
- Educate the university community on the experiences and needs of student veterans
- Plan for a future Student Veterans' Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno
- Join the university with the broader community in our efforts to serve, integrate, and understand veterans
- Foster and support interdisciplinary research on veterans
- Develop a curriculum based on veterans' experiences that ultimately leads to a Certificate in Veterans Studies
