Anticipated graduation date: Spring 2007

Major: Masters of Education, Secondary licensure, math & science.

Technology skills: I have been into technology since I graduated engineering school. I built my own computer in the 80’s. I troubleshot software and hardware problems at work for my department; adding memory chips, boards, and drives as needed. I chaired the PC Committee and spearheaded the standardization of software, company wide. I know the MS Office Suite, Corel Suite, QuickBooks, AutoCAD, Digital Cameras, Drafting Plotters, PDA’s.

My technology examples:

How I plan on integrating technology into my teaching: Using technology in the classroom: As a science teacher, I would like to integrate the use of computers into scientific research and science experimentation. I would like to incorporate computer use into daily assignments including understanding the technologies that make the computer and Internet possible. On the fun side I would like the kids to be involved in creating web pages, use the web to communicate with the classroom and parents, even broadcast the classroom using a web cam. I would incorporate creating digital media in the classroom as a way to explain sound and video principals. I would like to set up a truly technology interactive classroom that brings science principals alive.
