How I plan on integrating technology into my teaching: I believe that the internet is an immense resource that teachers can and should use in their classrooms. There are many pictures, scenes, and songs that can be taken from the web and be incorporated into lessons. Teachers can find movies, clips, commercials, talk radio, news, and magazines on the internet and integrate these resources into their lesson plans. I am also an advocate for using PowerPoint lectures in the classroom; which can include pictures in order to make lecturing more interesting. I believe it is important to keep in contact with students and parents; email is a great tool that doesn’t involve without having to call someone’s home. I also plan to have my students use tape recorders to document oral histories, or folk stories. There is a plethora of technological tools that can be integrated into the classroom in order to make learning exciting and interesting.
