Technology in Teacher Education -Nevada (TITE-N), through its Partners Consortium, works to increase the proficiency of pre-service teachers in applying modern technology to K-12 instruction in the College of Education

Anticipated graduation date: December 2006

Major: Severe multiple disabilities and mental retardation

Technology skills: Word as a word processor and web page creator; Access -
maintain a professional organization's membership directory of over 6,000
members; Publisher to create and maintain church directory with digital pictures
(scanned and digitized); many Powerpoint presentations for lectures, classes,
internet, and web pages; and use Excel for data collection. Currently use
Dreamweaver MX, Fireworks, and Photoshop for web site creation of graphics and
web pages for professional organizations, Delta Pi Epsilon for Business
Educators, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International for Key Women Educators and
Cooperative Education for North Carolina. Additionally I love to play and tweek
computer and Xbox games.

How I plan on integrating technology into my teaching: I plan to use the technology skills in the classroom in assisting students to communicate, research topics, complete literacy assignments, practice math and spelling skills, and be creative.
