Anticipated graduation date: 2007

Major: BS-Elementary Education; Applying for my Master in Ed for severe emotional/behavioral disorders with moderate and intense needs.

Technology skills: Well to keep my background on technology short, I have been working with computers my entire life. In 1999, I joined the Nevada Army National Guard as a Troposcatter Communication specialist and did that for approximately 4 years. Then in 2003 I was deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom where I was crossed trained as a Network Administrator for a Tactical Communication Facility (TCF). Then in March of 2005 we returned home and I was asked to take a position for the National Guard in their Technical Support Section or the J6.

How I plan on integrating technology into my teaching: My plans for using technology in my classroom is pretty much a given. I believe that the idea of using it for both a visual and an audio is a means to grab the students and make them want to learn. I also believe that in today’s society that it is a requirement to be able to type a letter and do things on a computer that were never expected before. I will teach the children with that idea and hopefully they will respond and grasp the concept
of technology.
