Anticipated graduation date: Spring 2006

Major: Elementary Education

Technology skills: Knowledge of digital cameras, digital voice recorders, Microsoft Office, minimal troubleshooting Skills, graphing calculators, DVD players, CD Players and the Internet (including searching for items).

My technology examples: Pictures on computer taken by a digital camera, lectures recorded on my voice recorder,EDU 204 assignments and projects, math tutoring with graphing calculators, observation and listening to of movies and CDs on my computer and the research material found on the
Internet for my classes at the university.

How I plan on integrating technology into my teaching: I plan on using digital audio and visual devices attached to a PC for recording reading session with students to keep a record and portfolio of each student for assessment and adjusting curriculum for the students' needs. I plan on using scanners also to create a paperless file of student's work. I plan on using PowerPoint presentations for tools and aids in lessons and instructions. I also plan on using graphing calculators for math. There are many other tools that will help such as a ditigal camera to keep a visual account of things happening in the class (especially good for a reminder for field trips). These are the ideas that first come to mind and I am sure that many more will come to mind as I am exposed to more use for technology in the classroom.
