Anticipated graduation date: Spring 2006

Major: Secondary School Credential/English, Masters of Education

Technology skills: Not giving into a full-fledged rejection of the rapidly changing and overwhelming spectrum of technology. Embracing it as much as possible. Microsoft Office, the Internet, scanning, RTP.

My technology examples: I can whip out a great PowerPoint presentation anytime. Most recently an orientation presentation to the Snowsports School at Alpine Meadows.

How I plan on integrating technology into my teaching: My biggest goal as a teacher in regards to technology will be to keep up with my students' technology knowledge! They are being educated in a time when technology is omnipresent and can be leaps and bounds beyond the knowledge of a typical adult. I want to be able to relate to my students on a similar technology level, surprise them with my knowledge and creativity in incorporating technology into the classroom, and solve my own technology problems. I want to include PowerPoint and the Internet into my classroom on a daily basis, but go beyond that by creating a distance learning relationship with a classroom in Sydney, London, or Aberdeen.
