Anticipated graduation date: May 2008

Major: Elementary Education

Technology skills:
I give a presentation with PowerPoint, write essays and make leaflets with Microsoft Word, handle my household accounts and make tables within Microsoft Excel.

My technology examples:

How I plan on integrating technology into my teaching:
I would like students to use personal computers not only for studying at school but also for their lives at home or anywhere. For example, they can use Microsoft Excel for their money use, or collect information into graphs and use Microsoft Word for writing essays, or make leaflets, PowerPoint to give presentations, Internet Explorer to research what they want to know, like favorite singers, actors, actresses, news, and hobbies to interest the classmates. They can talk to a lot of people all over the world. Even students have problems in their studies, lives, families, girlfriends, boyfriends; they may solve those problems with the Internet. I will also teach about storing pictures from digital cameras on personal computers. Then, I would like students to make their own homepages about their works. Each student will make very imaginative pages, and each page will grow up with students. In other words, students will keep studying about the personal computers.

Finally, my faith to work as a great elementary teacher is to teach how to live by themselves(students), specifically, to help students find what are the most interesting things to make money and enjoy their lives. I would like students to notice that there are many chances around them and grasp those by themselves and achieve their dreams. For giving various chances to students, I need to know more about the computers. It is very good equipment for students to broaden their world.
