Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2004

Major: BS in Secondary Education - Mathematics

Technology skills:
Skills consist of daily computer operations, ranging from word processing to graphic design and software and hardware maintenance. I mainly work with a PC platform but have explored Mac platforms too.

My technology examples:
Some examples would include required schoolwork - PowerPoint presentations, word processing for papers, email for communication, upload and download of information.

Non-school related examples include a variety of items - graphic design with various programs (email for examples), some instruction (email for references) and a small amount of basic webpage design (www.mrsyoung.net). Other places to see some of my work are www.shrinkmagic.com. By clicking this link, you will be able to view some of my graphic design work in the offered products. I did not have a role in the web site design, just some of the products offered. To receive a sample of my work, select "Get a Free Catalog." This catalog is a prime example of some of my skills. On the catalog, I work very closely with my client to produce it for press submission.

How I plan on integrating technology into my teaching:
As time goes on, technologies will increase in their applications, so I plan on using whatever technology will benefit my students and their learning environment the best. Other ways I plan to use technology in my classroom is through communications. Here I can develop different ways for students, their parents and other colleagues to interact with myself. Also, any technology that helps in the learning process and benefits the student and other student-parent-teacher relationship will be considered if not used. Only time will tell, as I become more experienced in being a teacher.
