
The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) serves as the Lead Organization for TITE-N. UNR is a Carnegie Level 1 research
institution and a land grant state university located in northern Nevada within a metropolitan area of about 300,000 people. The university's enrollment is approximately
15,000 students and growing. The College of Education currently houses a number of pre-service teacher preparation programs with a total enrollment of approximately 1,000
undergraduate students. These programs include elementary education (K-6), special education (K-12), integrated dual elementary/special education, and secondary education
(grades 7-12).
TITE-N partner University
of North Texas (UNT) is the leading university of the
Dallas-Fort Worth region, a sprawling metropolitan area
of over 5,500,000 people. UNT is the fourth-largest university
in Texas with more than 30,000 students. The University
offers 98 bachelors, 123 masters and 47 doctoral degree
programs, many of which garner national recognition. UNT's
counselor education program ranked best in Texas and has
twice been named the most outstanding program in the U.S.
As a doctoral/research university, UNT ranks in the top
4 percent of U.S. colleges and universities classified

Sharing the same metropolitan area as UNR, TITE-N partner Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) has
an enrollment of over 11,000 students with programs leading
to associate degrees and certificates in more than 40 academic
and occupational areas. TMCC offers flexible schedules with
courses taught on evenings, weekdays or weekends at more
than 40 sites countywide.
