Singapore Findouter
High quality private schools and language schools are listed with a short annotation. As all schools in Singapore, they are registered with the Ministry of Education, so that any full-time curriculum follows the Ministry’s standards and curricula. Most of the schools listed are part-time, or after-work/school programs.

Teach Abroad
This search engine helps you find several ways to get your certification. It also "remembers" countries you request, so that if there are no postings at that time, it will locate jobs and have them listed when you log on later. Different types of jobs that require English skills are also listed.

Worldwide Classroom
Worldwide Classroom is a site supported by donations, sponsors and fees. It is not colorful, does not provide beautiful graphics, but it directs the user exactly where they want to go. The program listings for Singapore do not include job openings, just schools. On the list, they have included icons so that you can see what these schools have to offer to their students and employees.

Here, you have the opportunity to check the going salaries of ESL teachers throughout the world. A synopsis of each country’s job market and working atmosphere, rules, regulations and traditions of the cultures, and physical environment is accessible as well. Wondering about the climate and physical features of Singapore? This site offers a succinct description of what you can expect. Unfortunately, you must buy a directory of English teaching opportunities throughout Singapore. The fee is euro 9.99. You can pay by credit card or PayPal. Private/Commercial Schools or Employers

ALTRON
ALTRON's vision is to be the leading private education provider offering quality and industry-relevant academic, commercial, vocational and life skill courses in Singapore and the Southeast Asian region. They provide language and teacher training. Most of their instructors are employed part-time.

Asian School of Education
The Asian School of Education provides corporate training, private tutorials, part-time or full-time English Courses, IELTS preparatory, effective writing workshops, phonics and phonetics for children, and adults. They also provide teachers with a certificate in teaching phonics and phonetics. There is a summer English course for foreign and local students.

Association of Christian Schools International
The Association of Christian Schools International is a difficult website to navigate, but it will lead to their affiliates throughout the world. They have a very thorough directory of the services they offer to the community. They also describe legal and legislative issues. This may be an excellent site for the more devout Christian teacher of English or other subjects.

Australian International School Singapore
The Australian International School Singapore is impressive. The home page is easily sorted by the following categories: the school, enrollment, curriculum, staff, employment and “contact us”. They have 66.6% Australian students, but the remainder makes up 41 other nationalities. AISS is a candidate for the International Baccalaureate Primary and Middle Years Programme, which is a very distinguished position in the area of educational institutions. AISS accepts employment applications in May and September.

Berlitz
Berlitz is a worldwide private language school franchise that comes complete with it’s own teaching methods and materials. You will be trained, and have the opportunity for advancement. Berlitz caters to private as well as corporate customers. Their website is very informative in regard to employment opportunities and Singapore’s culture and living environment. British Council
The British Council is registered in the U.K. as a charity. In Singapore, they offer English language courses for children and adults. They offer many part-time courses for adults wanting to improve their conversational skills, or English skills related to working in a multinational corporate environment.

Canadian International School
With a student body that draws from nearly fifty countries, the Canadian International School is one that enjoys its status as an International Baccalaureate Programme school. CIS is a privately owned co-educational day school that serves Pre-School through 12th grade students. The school is accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education, Canada. It is easy to navigate through their website to find excellent descriptions of their programs and operations information.

Eton House
Eton House is a bilingual preschool and primary school. Their primary language teaching is in Mandarin. There is an emphasis on early bilingual education, so there is an opportunity for English teaching at Eton.

Global Educational Opportunities and Services
GEOS stands for Global Educational Opportunities and Services. GEOS Language Centre is part of an international network of schools stretching across 15 countries. Their goal is to further international communication through English language education. Teachers must hold a Bachelor’s degree, and be certified by the Ministry of Education. They prefer hiring native English speakers.

I Can Read-Woodlands
I Can Read-Woodlands is an Australian Early Literacy Program. Applicants must be qualified in early childhood/primary education. This is a proven literacy system in which you will be trained. Airfare and housing allowances offered.

Inlingua is a language school franchise headquartered in Berne Switzerland. Inlingua teachers must have a TEFL/CELTA/TESOL qualification. They offer medical insurance, a 3-month bonus, 18 paid holidays per year, and have a competitive salary. The Inlingua Singapore School provides new teachers with home stay accommodation for the first month of employment (with a salary deduction of S$540). Maximum teaching hours are 30 hours per week. Teachers should be on premises 40 hours per week. Inlingua has its own materials and methods; however, there is freedom to explore more supplemental material once the program is given to students. They request that you send a CV by mail, not electronically due to virus issues.

International Community School
ICS is the only Christian international school in Singapore. It is a mid-sized school of nearly 300 students, offering preschool (age 3) through Grade 12 (pre-university), and utilizing an American-based curriculum. United States citizens comprise nearly half of the student body, and the remaining students represent 15 additional countries. Their mission is to provide a quality education in the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social and physical dimensions of life, and to instill in each student a Biblical world view, a respect for people of all cultures and religions and a desire for academic excellence." Lorna Whiston Study Centres
There are five Lorna Whiston Study Centres in Singapore, including a Pre-School and a Speech and Drama Centre. Lorna Whiston Schools are part-time schools that hire native English teachers with Bachelor’s degrees, a post graduate certificate of education, and a minimum of one year’s teaching experience. TESOL is an advantage, but not required. Lorna Whiston’s website is enjoyable as well as helpful. The job opportunities section is very clear and concise. There is also contact information. Ministry of Education
This site will give you everything you need to know about being a teacher in Singapore, whether it is for a private language school, or a public institution. You will find what qualifications are needed at each level. They will give you contract information and the terms you should expect from employers. The Ministry holds each school to a very high standard. There is an impression that teachers are treated with great respect in Singapore. Morris-Allen Study Centres
The Morris-Allen Study Centres provide a conducive environment for building up children’s self confidence in communication. Children from nursery school to high school participate in extra curricular English learning programs. They hire native speaking English teachers. The home page on their website shows off student work, gives you the latest news from the school, and lets you contact them for further information.

National University of Singapore
The National University of Singapore established a Centre for English Language Communication in 1979. The Centre provides training in English for specific purposes and researches issues related to language teaching and learning. There is a specific tab to locate employment opportunities on this site. You can also look through the site to find out more that the University has to offer its staff and students.

Petra Education Center
Petra Education Center caters to the educational needs of toddlers, preschoolers, primary school, secondary school children, teens and adults. They are experts on Phonics for Reading, Creative Writing, Phonetics and Phonology, Conversational English, Reading Clinic, Speech Therapy, English for Foreigners, and Intensive English for Academic Purposes. They provide a colorful and interesting website that is easy to navigate.

Premiere Language Centre
Premiere Language Centre prides itself on customer satisfaction. They prefer to hire native target-language speakers. English teachers must have TEFL certification or equivalent, and a Bachelor’s degree. The Premiere website is simple and uncluttered, with easy access to teachers/staff information.

SHINES Education Center
SHINES Education Center offers English courses with their own program that is developed with various English proficiency levels of University of Cambridge Local Syndicate (UNCLES). Each student is encouraged to advance toward this level. SHINES provides outlines for self study, home study, local study and overseas study. Their website is not easy to navigate, but their summer camp and Singapore study tours sound interesting, and worth looking in to.

Singapore American School
Fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools, Singapore American School is a non-profit, co-educational day school, serving expatriate students as well as about 40% local population. Their website includes a nice video of the campus, and information regarding every aspect of school life. There is a great "Working at SAS" page.

Spring Language School
The Spring Language School is a famous language school in Singapore. All of their teachers are graduates with degree, Master and PhD, and possess vast teaching experience. They have local and native teachers. Spring has the full support of the Ministry of Education (MOE), Immigration Department and foreign embassies in providing a fast and convenient opportunity for foreign students to study in Singapore. For foreign students, it is possible for Spring to handle all administrative matters with regard to application for student passes, student housing, entry into local schools etc. They offer preparatory courses for foreign students who wish to enroll into a local school (Primary/Secondary/Tertiary). They also offer Preparatory courses for TOEFL, IELTS, HSK, English and Chinese (Mandarin) enrichment courses, and other foreign languages (Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, French, German, Bahasa Indonesian, Hindi... etc.) Email: courseinfo@spring.edu.sg

Tanglin Trust School provides British-based schooling for some 2,000 expatriate students, aged 3-18. There is a navigation system on this website that allows you to scan for technical information and operations, and special events. Career opportunities are listed under special events!

TeleLingua Educational Centre
TeleLingua Educational Centre hires English teachers with previous teaching experience. You can read about the center and its programs easily, but employment information is not readily available through the site. When it is not easy to find employment or hiring information, it is best to send an email through the "contact us" option on the home page.

Tropics Language School
Tropics Language School is a great place for a one-stop centre where you can learn English, Chinese and Japanese in Singapore, the Southeast Asian hub. Right here at Tropics Language School (TLS), the teachers will provide you with Private Lessons & Small Group lessons. They offer flexible schedules, from 1 hour to 2-year courses. Tropics specializes in teaching English Conversational & Business, Conversational Chinese & Business, Conversational Japanese & Business to students from all over the world. TLS was established by a group of young and vibrant professionals who graduated from prestigious universities in Japan. They have the appropriate expertise and experience to fulfill your desire in enhancing student’s language proficiency or to pick up a new language. United World College
The United World College hires teachers any time of year. The teachers here are encouraged to lead an extracurricular activity in their interest/ability! Three levels of schools comprise the system, beginning at primary level to High School Level. This is confusing, as the name implies COLLEGE, or University level. Wall Street Institute
Wall Street Institute offers part time, full time courses and business English. IELTS and writing workshops are just many of our specialized courses as well. Job opportunities are easy to come by as well. It’s not difficult to navigate your way to that part of the website. They may need English teachers, but if you are willing to "mix it up" a bit, there are other positions with the Institute too.
