Objective: look at ways to reduce campus use and find alternative sources of energy.

The Energy Working Group are gathering and refining information with respect to the University's energy consumption and budget. The group also is gathering prior University energy conservation accomplishments with respect to lighting efficiency and heating efficiency.
The group is developing carbon reduction suggestions such as photovoltaic systems and solar water heating. A 30 kW photovoltaic system has been installed at the Joe Crowley Student Union and a 1kw photovoltaic system and 1 kW wind turbine system is being installed at the Planetarium.
