Legal Services Data
Undergraduate students have FREE access to legal information and referrals on most civil and criminal matters. The service is staffed by the ASUN Director of Legal Services (on campus) and a local attorney (off campus). In order to get legal information students must schedule an appointment with the Director of Legal Services. ASUN Legal Services may not give legal advice. Only a licensed attorney may give legal advice or draft legal documents. ASUN Legal Services is limited to activities of an informational nature only, and any request exceeding this limitation will be referred to appropriate legal counsel.
In most cases, the results of this process are a better understanding of the legal problem, some preliminary legal advice, and a referral to a local attorney who handles cases in the necessary legal area. Whenever possible, referrals are made to attorneys who have agreed to offer reduced and/or waived fees to students who are referred by ASUN Legal Services. ASUN Legal Services is located in the Lake Level of Clark Administration.
ASUN Notary Public Service:
This Service is available free to undergraduate students in the need of a notarized signature.
