Leadership Tools

Tool Box

These are quick helps on leadership topics and ideas for meetings, community service and organization ideas. These tools are available for all students - undergraduate and graduate, on and off-campus programs). The Tools will have a similar look, presentation style, and feel to them to help with the "branding" of our product. The Tools topics will coincide with the Slice of Leadership series and the leadership conference.

Speakers Bureau - we have discussed the option of working with the Retention and Persistence SIT to be the administrator of their speakers' bureau data base. These speakers would be advertised for departments, clubs, organizations, programs, and perhaps even off campus organizations for a small fee.

Collaborators - the Center will work with many departments to direct students to their programs and offerings via the web or walk in basis. Some of these programs could include: the VIP program, internships, Academic and Career Services. It is our hope to work with the Retention and Persistence SIT to create and implement the Co-Curricular transcript and portfolios.

Nevada VALUES Leadership Conference - February 2004

VALUES - Vision, Action, Leadership, Understanding, Ethics, Service

The Nevada VALUES Leadership Conference will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2004 in the Jot Travis Student Union. It will begin at 9:00am, and lunch will be served. This event is FREE to all University of Nevada students. To register for the conference Download and fill-out this form and return it to the Center for Student Leadership ASAP. For more information, please contact alberti@unr.nevada.edu

This leadership conference will help the university community offer a cooperative program for students on the topics of leadership. By combining our efforts we will be able to offer programming that will include several national speakers and then faculty/staff and student presented workshops. The timing is intentional to coordinate with the student governments (ASUN and GSA) to incorporate sessions on how to run, publicity, and logistics of getting involved in governance.

Other ideas for the conference:

The Center for Student Leadership is a division of: Student Life Services.
