Alternative Media Services

This program provides eligible students printed text books, media, and class room materials in an alternative, accessible format. The DRC houses a full-time production staff that enables us to provided nearly any text required for academic study in alternative formats. Because the DRC performs in-house processing and production of materials, it is essential that students meet with accommodation counselors well in advance of the first day of classes to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Requesting Alternative Media Services

Steps Required:

To request Alternative Media Services students must fill out an Alternative Media Service Request form to identify the courses in which alternative media services are needed. Students must then fill out a Materials Request Form which identifies the texts, readings, and materials they will need for classes. Sometimes it is difficult or impossible to fill this form out completely before the first day of class so students are encouraged to complete as much information as possible and fill in the details after classes have begun. You may download both of these forms from the Documents area of this page. If you need assistance filling out these forms or need them in an alternative format please contact the DRC as soon as possible.
