AlcoholEdu For College

What Is AlcoholEdu for College?

AlcoholEdu for College is a multimedia, interactive online program using the latest prevention techniques and science-based research to educate students about the impact of alcohol on the mind and body.

Why Is The University Mandating The Course?

We recognize that whether you personally abstain from drinking alcohol, drink occasionally, or drink often; alcohol is an influence in the lives of many college students.  We want you to be informed and confident about your decisions on socializing --- if it includes drinking or being at events where your friends are drinking – before you come to campus.  We believe that this is important for your success as a student and as a member of our university community.

Because we are committed to your success, we require every incoming University of Nevada, Reno, first-year student to complete AlcoholEdu for College; Part 1 must be completed by August 22nd.
