National Science Foundation Major Research Instrumentation

Proposals will be due to NSF on January 23, 2015. This is a limited submission proposal. The Office of the VPRI will determine which proposals move forward based on the pre-proposals submitted by interested faculty.

Deadline for Pre-proposals: 8 a.m., July 24, 2014
Selection of Applications for full proposal development: Aug. 25, 2014

A single pdf of your pre-proposal should be submitted through InfoEd before 8 a.m., July 24, 2014. You will find instructions for preparing an internal pre-proposal to the office of the VPRI in the list of InfoEd user guides.

If you have not taken InfoEd training, please contact Erika Waday as soon as possible.

Pre-proposal format:

  • Cover sheet
  • Pre-proposals for internal review must include:
    • A three-page (maximum) project description. Please refer to the solicitation content and indicate if you are applying for the ‘Acquisition’ or ‘Development’ track
    • NSF bio-sketch for each investigator
    • One-page summary budget for the total project period
