University of Nevada, Reno Peer Health Educators
“The easy way to ask the hard questions”
Who are they?
They are you! They are UNR students who have been specially trained on a variety of health topics.
Our trained Peer Health Educators are here to help all students get the health information they need.
Here is what they are talking about:
- Stress Management
- Sleep Difficulties
- Sexual Health
- Birth Control Options
- Sexually Transmitted Infections
- Nutrition and Exercise
- Eating Disorders
- Alcohol and Drug abuse
- Tobacco use
How can they help you?
Peer Health Educators can be found doing a variety of outreach on campus. They work in the clinic to help with STD testing and other needs, they do events on campus, and they can help do presentations or provide information to a variety of student groups.
You can contact a peer health educator to talk about the program and how we can help. The PHE office is located at the Student Health Center in the Neil J. Redfield Building.
