Maximize Your Service Experience

How to communicate and utilize your service-learning experience

Staff at the OSLCE will work with students one-on-one or in groups to help you maximize your service experience. We are here to help you find engagement opportunities, to assist you with reflective assignments, presentations for your class or community partner, and to provide consultations on your service projects for community partners. Beginning Sept 30th, drop-in hours are Monday's and Thursday's from 10:00 to 4:00 p.m. in Thompson Building, room 101E. Students can also schedule an appointment at .

The University Writing Center has partnered with the Office of Sevice-Learning and Civic Engagement to provide consultations designed to help you write effectively and get the most out of your service-learning experience. Whether you are writing a journal or reflection of your experience, looking to incorporate your experience into personal statements and scholarship applications, or seeking grant funding for future service projects, a Writing Center consultant is available to help you through each stage of the writing process. Please visit the University Writing Center to make a consultation appointment, or drop by our office in the Thompson building to learn more.
