The College of Science has a minimum 3 semester mandatory advising policy that applies to all new freshmen. An advising hold is placed on the student's MyNEVADA account by the Office of Admissions & Records; the advising hold is removed by an advisor after a student has successfully completed the advising process.

During the Fall semester, College of Science students who are enrolled in the following freshmen introduction courses for their major and intend to continue in that major receive priority 2nd semester mandatory advising as a part of the course.
NOTE: If a College of Science student decides to change their major during the Fall semester, the student needs to contact the advisor of the new program to get advised to have the advising hold removed.
Biology or Neuroscience majors - please review and complete the advising assignment and quiz in the WebCampus Learn course titled, "2nd semester Freshmen Advising for Biology & NSC major [not in SCI 110] "
For all other majors in the College of Science, please complete the following steps identified below to get the advising hold removed.
NOTE: If your e mail does not include all the above mentioned components and information, the faculty advisor may not respond to your request. It may take up to 1-2 business days for a faculty advisor to respond to your e mail request.
Biology & Neuroscience majors - Download and review the Checklist for 3rd Semester Mandatory Advising. Register for a 3rd semester mandatory group advising session as part of the WebCampus Learn course titled, "3rd semester Freshmen Advising for Biology & NSC majors".
All other majors in the College of Science - please complete the following steps identified below to get the advising hold removed.
