Declaring, Changing, or Adding a Major
Preparation for successful advising
STEP 1 - Review the program requirements and the Recommended Schedule for your intended major; click on the program you intend to pursue - all courses identified are hyperlinked to view course descriptions and prerequisite/corequisite information.

STEP 2 - Contact your faculty advisor to request an advising appointment - include your full name, date of birth, and your availability to meet during regular business hours to expedite the process of creating an advising appointment
STEP 3 - Download and complete the Declaration/Change of Plan (Major) form and submit it to the College of Science Dean's Office (411 DMSC) during regular business hours (M-F, 8 am-5 pm). We will provide the required signature and submit the form directly to Office of Admissions & Records (2nd floor - FSSB) for processing.
If you are interested in REMOVING a major offered by the College of Science, download and complete the Declaration/Change of Plan (Major) form and submit it directly to the Office of Admissions & Records (2nd floor - FSSB) for processing; a signature from an advisor or the Dean's office is not required.
