Bradley Skirt

J. W.. Bradley begins to advertised its NEW SKIRT as the greatest invention in the "Age of Hoop Skirts" in 1865. The elliptical spring skirts were light and durable. By 1866, they described their product as a standard in the fashionable world. One will clearly see the shifting of the skirt fabric to the back reflected in the hoops. Eventually the continual shifting of fabric creates the bustles of the 1870s and 1880s.
