Corsets: Good Posture

Madame Caplin's Corsets were world famous. She offered twenty-three styles to take women from infancy into womanhood. Madame Caplin was cited for her contributions in the Godey's Lady's Book in March 1854.(p. 265) Good posture was encouraged early on in development as it reflective of good training and prized as a feminine quality.
