Portraits of Nevada was created by Virginia Vogel, professor of speech
communication and theatre, in coopertation with Teaching and Learning Technologies
of the University of Nevada, Reno, as part of the Senate Bill 204 K-16
Distance Education initiative. The site archives clothing and fashion of
early Nevada pioneers. Virginia has compiled a virtual museum that chronicles
the history and lifestyle of Nevada's founders. This site contains over
two hundred separate pages, most of which include professionally
rendered graphics. To experience the fullness this site offers you should
have a high-bandwith connection and be using Netscape Navigator 2.0 + or
Microsoft's Internet Explorer 3.0. If you have a text only or a slower
connection you will still be able to access a great wealth of information.
