This course is currently conducted through an instructional system called PSI or personal systematic instruction often referred to as the Keller plan. Under this system students work through a series of self instructional materials. Periodically they meet with mentors (usually graduate students) to obtain detailed feedback and testing. Psychology 101 is currently undergoing a transformation. The course is being augmented by a number of technologies including computer assisted instruction and a computerized management system (which incidentally is referred to as PSI, this PSI is different than the former, it stands for Project Synergy Integrator). Eventually this course will be ported to the web, enabling it to reach a much larger audience and accommodating individual's variable location, schedule, and learning style.
