Reorganized in Fall, 2002, this committee reports to the President through the Special Assistant to the President for Diversity. Participation is open, on a continuing basis, to all members of the university community. Faculty can select this committee through the Faculty Senate's committee selection process. Volunteer are always welcome.
Identify and communicate the issues and concerns of women faculty, staff, and students regarding their experiences in, and expectations of, the university
. Ensure that the issues and concerns of women are communicated appropriately
. Provide opportunities for networking and the development of support systems for women
. Ensure that gender is not barriers to full participation by women in the academic, professional, social and cultural life of the university
