Senior Outreach Services (SOS)
Senior Outreach Services (SOS) volunteers provide a variety of services for elderly frail clients and at community agencies and organizations. Senior Outreach Services is funded by an Independent Living Grant through the Nevada Division for Aging Services.
SOS volunteers provide the following services:
- Assistance with grocery shopping
- Picking up prescription medication from pharmacies
- Emotional support and companionship through regular visitation and phone contact
- Assistance with reading for the visually impaired
- Meeting other day-to-day needs of the frail seniors they serve.
