Part of a national organization, RSVP recruits and encourages people 55 years and older to share their unique skills, talents, and experience with community not-for-profit and public agencies. There are volunteer opportunities to accommodate most interests and time constraints with over 80 participating volunteer sites in Washoe County.
What skills do you have to share? On this brief video RSVP volunteers describe what they do, why they do it, and how they know they’re making an impact in our community. We’d like to help you find a volunteer experience as rewarding as these RSVP volunteers have.
RSVP of Washoe County can talk with you to find the right fit where you can have an impact. Featured participants include
-

- Leslyn Raso, Senior Outreach Services (SOS) program, whose mission is to help adults remain independent in their own homes
- Ann Kent, an RSVP volunteer in various settings providing tutoring or companionship to seniors
- Steve Burns, a tutor with Washoe County School District
