Dr. Veach received his Ed.D. in Counseling and Educational Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno and is currently a professor at the School of Medicine, with appointments in the departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Internal Medicine, Reno. At the Sanford Center for Aging, Dr. Veach’s role is to foster the development of interdisciplinary research and evaluation with respect to geriatrics and gerontology at University, State, and National levels. A particular focus will be to coordinate activities of the SCA Research Pilot Grants Program and the University Faculty Advisory Committee to solicit, review, award, and evaluate faculty research activities supported by Sanford Foundation. Dr. Veach has a broad range of administrative and academic experiences in medical education, evaluation research, and interdisciplinary behavioral and clinical research. He is authored many scientific and educational papers, articles, and book chapters on a wide variety of topics. He is a recognized national and international consultant in medical education and organizational development.
