Competition Eligibility
Any school group wishing to participate in the competition portion of the Reno Jazz Festival must consist entirely of students enrolled in ONE school. College and university students must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits to be considered eligible (an exception is granted in the “community” category where all members need only be enrolled in the group course). ANY group may choose to perform non-competitively, but the festival staff must be notified. Non-competitive groups will receive judges’ comments, but will not be eligible for awards.
