Minor in Religious Studies
The University of Nevada, Reno offers an interdisciplinary minor in religious studies. Courses are offered in the departments of anthropology, art, dance, foreign languages, history, philosophy and sociology. Students complete the minor by taking Religious Studies 101 (Introduction to Religious Studies, offered every Spring Semester) and five or more other courses from two or more departments. These courses are divided into groups A (about religion) and B (involving religion in a significant way). At least four courses must be from group A. In addition, twelve credits must be in courses numbered at 300 and above.
